UK weather forecast: FORGET WINTER! Temperatures to soar to 77F – ‘SUMMER’S LAST HOORAH’

Despite a chilly few days, the UK weather is set to improve dramatically this week in one “last hoorah” for summer.

Weather Outlook forecaster Brian Gaze said temperatures will soar and urged Britons not to “put the BBQ away” just yet.

He said: “It’s summer’s last hurrah, with Indian Summer-style weather through mid-October shown on computer models, with 77F highs possible in midweek.

“Very warm air is being pulled up to Britain, but the clash with Atlantic disturbances means very strong wind gusts around 75mph likely in parts of the North.”

The Met Office has also predicted high temperatures with meteorologist Alex Burkill telling MailOnline Britain can expect “fine and sunny weather”.

He said: “Warmer air from the south does mean that we are looking to get several degrees above average for the time of year.

“There will be a good deal of fine and sunny weather around. We will have low pressure towards the west and that will drag in warmer air from the south than we have got at the moment.

“There is a fairly good chance of something pretty unsettled at the end of the week, definitely we can expect some fairly stormy weather and some rain.”

The Royal family will be among those keeping an eye on the weather next week with Princess Eugenie’s wedding to James Brooksbanks unfortunately slated for rain – at least according to the bookies.

Bookmaker Coral is predicting rain on the day with odds of 4/5.

Spokesman Harry Aitkenhead said: “An October wedding always runs the risk of inclement weather and with a wet October forecast we make it odds-on that the newlyweds will need an umbrella on their carriage ride through Windsor after tying the knot.”

Meteogroup said the best weather can be expected on Wednesday.

They said: “Largely fine and sunny for England and Wales, albeit the odd shower in northwest England.

“Into Wednesday rain will ease across the north, and there will be lengthy spells of sunshine for many.”
