The real and intimate reason Kate and William are more hands on at public events now

Kate Middleton and Prince William have three adorable royal children, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, born in April last year.

And according to an expert their newest arrival has had a very profound effect on his parents.

Body language expert Judi James told that arrival of Prince Louis has caused more affection between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

She claimed the pair touch and make eye contact much more in public since the birth of their second son.

The pair look increasingly happy, according to Judi.

She said: “William and Kate are currently blending tradition and formality with an increase in congruent signals of happiness and even fun together at public events.

“Their touch rituals, eye contact and tie signs also seem to have increased since Louis was born although they still appear to be averse to creating anything approaching the kind of non-verbal royal soap opera that surrounded Princess Diana.”

The arrival of a new child can often cause a couple to experience a renewed sense of closeness.

However, the couple have always appeared somewhat aligned in terms of their body language, according to Judi.

She said: “Intense mirroring or postural echo has been a feature of William and Kate’s body language as a couple since they were first engaged.

“Their twinned waves here is a signature look and suggests a very level power balance and like-minded thinking.

“There seems to be a natural, effortless synchronicity to their body language that is probably created by the amount of years and experiences they’ve shared.

“Their approach to their royal role seems to be a passion they share and for good reason.”

“With the marriage break-ups and scandals that dogged his father’s generation of royals it seems to have fallen to William and Kate to adopt the kind of traditional ‘smile and wave’ approach of body language adopted by The Queen.”

Judi spoke about Prince William’s ‘unusual’ gesture of affection towards Kate last week.

The prince raised a hand to rest it on Kate’s hip as the couple greeted the public.

William turned to look at his wife, who in turn smiled back at him.

The Prince’s other hand was raised to pay to wave to the crowd.

Body language expert Judi James said: “They catch one another’s eye and Kate’s dimpled smile suggests the kind of subtle look of love that is similar to William’s suppressed smile and eye smile.

“Unusually for him, he seems quick to lift a hand to Kate’s waist in a gesture of what looks like spontaneous affection.”
