Simon Cowell net worth: The X Factor Judge’s SHOCKING fortune revealed

Simon Cowell, 58, is a British television producer and judge, known for creating the hit franchise, the X Factor.

The show is now back for a 15th series, with Simon being joined by Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson on the panel.

The 58-year-old has helped countless artists and bands rise to fame, including Westlife, One Direction and US boyband CNCO.

With such a successful career spanning almost forty years on his CV, its no surprise the native Londoner is worth such a vast amount.

Simon Cowell began his career in the early 1980s, working in the mailroom for record company EMI.

He then went onto co-form Fanfare Record, a company which initially sold exercise videos and music from acts such as the Italian orchestra Rondò Veneziano.

In 1986, Simon and the company had their first hit song, “So Macho”, by Sinitta. However, his success didn’t last long, with the company going under in 1989 and Simon nearly filing for bankruptcy.

But he turned things around, and the year 2001 was a game changer for the music producer, after being named a judge on the first series of Pop Idol.

His Pop Idol fame saw him rise to stardom in the US, appearing on American Idol and cementing himself as a household name.

Almost 20 years later and things have only got better for Simon, with his estimated fortune being around $500 million (£385).

Following his Idols success, Simon launched Syco Entertainment, a music and television company that has now sold over 200 million albums and achieved 180 number one singles worldwide.

In 2004 Syco launched The X Factor in the UK, with Simon then going onto produce Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor USA.

In the same year, and again in 2010, Time magazine named Cowell one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In 2008, The Daily Telegraph ranked him sixth in their list of the “100 most powerful people in British culture”.

Pulling in a staggering salary of $95 million in 2017 alone, Simon owns an impressive property portfolio, including homes in London and Beverly Hills.

The father-of-one also recently invested in a luxurious $25 million 10,000-square-foot beachfront property in Malibu, California.

Returning to screens for the 15th series of the X Factor, Simon is joined by another staggeringly wealthy Briton, pop superstar Robbie Williams.

Robbie Williams is one of the most renowned pop stars in the world, selling millions of records over his 20-year career.

Robbie is a British national treasure, rising to fame in the 90s boy band Take That and going onto become one of the best selling artists of all time.

The singer was reportedly given a £10 million contract to appear on the X Factor 2018, but his overall net worth is even more impressive.
