Princess Eugenie wedding: What roles will Prince George and Princess Charlotte have?


Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, featured as a respective pageboy and bridesmaid at the wedding of their uncle, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle back in May this year.

On Friday, fellow royal Princess Eugenie of York, who is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, 58, will say I Do in the same venue.

The nuptials may be just around the corner, however the 28-year-old and her groom-to-be are yet to publicly confirm the full line up of their wedding parties.

While fans eagerly await the announcement, it is known that Princess Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice, 30, will take on the role of maid of honour.

Will Princess Charlotte and Prince George be at Princess Eugenie’s wedding?

While their attendance hasn’t been confirmed, both of the young royals have already got plenty of experience as key figures in a wedding party.

Princess Charlotte first took on the role of a bridesmaid last year, when her auntie, Pippa Middleton, married James Matthews.

Prince George, the eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, also featured in both of the nuptials, serving as a pageboy.

After making their debut as part of the wedding party last year, the two went on to delight fans across the nation as they walked down the aisle at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials.

Most recently, the young royals reprised their important roles for the wedding of Kate Middleton’s close friend Sophie Carter.

Sophie, who wed Robert Snuggs at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Norfolk last month, is a godmother to the three-year-old princess.

While Kensington Palace are yet to confirm whether the youngsters will be bridesmaids and pageboys this time around, their close family connection to Princess Eugenie means they’re highly likely to attend the ceremony.

However, their younger brother, five-month-old Prince Louis, is yet to make his debut at a wedding.

The tot’s young age means he isn’t thought to be due to attend the nuptials this time around.

Earlier this year, a source divulged that the daughter of a very famous face was set to make an appearance in the wedding party.

Robbie Williams, 44, and his 39-year-old wife Ayda Field’s eldest daughter, Theodora Rose, known as Teddy, is said to take on the job of a flower girl.

A source said the hitmaker “couldn’t be more proud” of the six-year-old and her exciting new role.

As well as the possibility of Prince George and Princess Charlotte being in the wedding party, Princess Eugenie’s goddaughter Maud Windsor – the daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor – could be a flower girl.

Ines de Givenchy, the daughter of J.P Morgan banking executive Olivier de Givenchy, could be joining the youngsters.

Also in the running to be a pageboy is Olivier’s older child, his son Louis.
