That’s all from the Etihad Stadium folks. I’ll be back again tomorrow bright and early to bring you LIVE coverage of the weekend’s Premier League action. Night!

MANCHESTER CITY 5-1 LEICESTER

FT: How was this level at half-time?! Manchester City have blown away Leicester to extend their advantage at the top of the Premier League table. Sergio Aguero with four, yes four, goals.

MANCHESTER CITY 5-1 LEICESTER – AGUERO

89: Pick of the bunch!

Sergio Aguero grabs his FOURTH of the match with an absolute stunner. He unleashes a thunderbolt that crashes in off the underside of the bar.

85: Ah, Kevin De Bruyne IS human. The midfielder slices an effort into Row Z. Collectors item…

82: Another change for City. John Stones returns from injury to replace Nicolas Otamendi.

80: Foden replaces Fernandinho for the closing stages.

MANCHESTER CITY 4-1 LEICESTER – AGUERO (HAT-TRICK)

77: The only surprise here? Kevin De Bruyne didn’t provide the assist. That came from a rather unlikely source…

Kasper Schmeichel gifts the ball to Sergio Aguero, who completes his hat-trick with a delightful chip over the keeper.

76: We’re basically at walking pace now as Manchester City look to see the game out.

74: Booking for Gundogan, who takes down Mahrez after Laporte swipes as fresh air! Albrighton crosses it in but it’s too deep. Far too deep for Maguire to reach.

71: Bernardo Silva dinks a curling effort to the far post, and Schmeichel just stands and admires as it trickles past the post.

68: Poor old Sergio Aguero looks to have hurt his wrist. He’s quickly over to the sidelines, and the medical staff scary some water on it and send him back on.

65: Since his Werder Bremen debut in August 2012, Kevin De Bruyne has provided 77 assists in Europe’s big 5 leagues, more than any other player in that time (Lionel Messi, 76).

62: Here comes Riyad Mahrez! He gets a strange welcome as he replaces Diabate. Both sets of supporters cheered? Iheanacho, who also gets a cheer from both sets of fans, replaces Chilwell.

59: Is it time for Riyad Mahrez yet? The Algerian might give City something to think about. Mainly where he’ll fit in if they sign him this summer…

56: It’s scary how quickly Manchester City can take the game away from you. The hosts nearly add a fourth as Otamendi nods wide from a KDB corner.

MANCHESTER CITY 3-1 LEICESTER – AGUERO

53: Is that a hat-trick of assists for Kevin De Bruyne? Yep.

The Belgian threads a pass through to Sergio Aguero, who squeezes it past Schmeichel at his near post.

52: A quick word on Schmeichel’s distribution. It’s been terrible. He’s sliced it straight out of play on three of four occasions.

51: City look in the mood to kill this one off before 60 minutes. Sterling goes down looking for a penalty before Fernandinho stabs one wide.

MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 LEICESTER – AGUERO

48: Barely three minutes into the second half and Manchester City have re-taken the lead!

Who was the architect? I think you probably know. De Bruyne plays a perfectly-weighted ball across the six-yard box for Sergio Aguero to tap home.

45: We’re back underway folks! One change for Leicester as Danny Simpson replaces Adrien Silva.

TWITTER ROUND-UP

James: Am I the only one that finds the absolute ZERO atmosphere at the Etihad really creepy? It’s like watching a behind closed doors game.

Andy: Too many pointless crosses by Bernardo Silva and Kyle Waker. Hoping for the best rather than with an aim. Need to be better, the goal has knocked our impressive early rhythm.

Mitch: Scenes when Riyad Mahrez comes on, scores the winner & Pep Guardiola gets out an electric cattle prod & storms the director’s box!

MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 LEICESTER

HT: Well, Leicester coaxed themselves out of an early-half slumber to draw level with Manchester City before the break. Quite an intriguing second 45 minutes ahead of us now.

ONE ADDED MINUTE

43: City have a dangerous free-kick on the right touchline. What can KDB do with this? Nothing. Leicester bring everyone back and clear.

40: What a block! KDB plays an awesome through pass to Sterling, who tip-toes past Schmeichel only for Dragovic to make a block on the line.

37: De Bruyne sends an awkward dipping free-kick into the Leicester penalty area. Otamendi comes flying in with a karate kick but doesn’t connect.

34: KDB goes for the near post but Schmeichel makes a great low save. Full-back Zinchenko played a great ball to tee him up.

31: Close! Silva rinses Fuchs and reaches the byline. He turns and pings one that’s heading for the roof of the net before Schmeichel paws it away.

28: He’s not learned his lesson! Otamendi’s loose touch almost sees Vardy go through again but Fernandinho mops up.

26: Jamie Vardy has scored in each of his last four Premier League games, his longest streak since his record 11-game run in Leicester City’s title winning season.

MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 LEICESTER – VARDY

24: Jamie Vardy with the equaliser! Nicolas Otamendi inexplicably passes the ball straight to Jamie Vardy, who brushes off two challenges before slotting past Ederson.

Insanely cool finish from the Leicester talisman. That’s four in four I believe.

23: Hello Leicester! Nice of you to join us. Albrighton and Vardy exhange passes before Fernandinho slices a cross for a corner, which fails to beat the first man.

21: No real chances to speak of here. City are still in control as Leicester continue to give the ball away and drift through the game. Aguero receives the ball from Fernandinho but delays before being caught in possession.

20: I’m not convinced Leicester have the fight for this today. They’re usually up for these occasions but it’s a little bit flat from the visitors.

17: Sterling looks to add a second after weaving his way through a crowd of players before seeing the ball poked away from him by Dragovic.

14: Ederson is too cool for words. Unlike Claudio Bravo, he doesn’t give Manchester City fans a heart-attack every time he races off his line, and shows us why when chesting the ball down and playing a 40-yard cross field pass to Kyle Walker.

11: Kevin De Bruyne has assisted three goals in his last four Premier League games for Manchester City, as many as his previous 14 combined.

Ben Chilwell tries to help the Belgian add to that tally by passing the ball straight to him, but Leicester scramble it away.

8: City are bang on it. The three-day holiday Pep Guardiola gave some of his players has clearly done the trick. There’s a pause in play with Marc Albrighton down injured after clashing with Ilkay Gundogan. We’re away again.

5: OK, so that’s Leicester Plan A out the window, what happens now?

MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 LEICESTER – STERLING

3: Fabulous goal. Absolutely fabulous.

Kevin De Bruyne sends a beautiful whipped cross behind the static Leicester defence and Raheem Sterling arrives late to convert from point-blank range.

2: Vardy vs Laporte is going to be fascinating today. Not sure the Frenchman has played against a quite like the Leicester forward before.

MANCHESTER CITY 0-0 LEICESTER

1: And we’re underway folks. It’s a filthy day in Manchester. Fingers crossed this match will distract supporters from their freezing fingers and soggy clothes.

KEEP IT CLEAN

17:25: Yes, that’s what my boss told me before this blog, but I’m actually talking about Pep Guardiola’s concern.

Manchester City have written to the body responsible for professional referees following a number of bad tackles on their players.

The Premier League leaders have reported nine challenges they feel have not been sufficiently punished by referees in recent months to Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL).

City would also like to see a change in Football Association rules that would allow incidents seen by referees on the field to be reviewed again retrospectively.

I imagine Jamie Vardy will take note…

MANCHESTER CITY vs LEICESTER

17:20: Yep, you really do see Riyad Mahrez on the bench for Leicester.

Pep Guardiola’s side enquired about Mahrez’s availability on transfer deadline day last month but would not meet the Foxes’ £95million valuation, refusing to pay more than £60million.

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Sterling.

Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Kompany, Stones, Nmecha, Foden, Diaz.

Leicester XI: Schmeichel, Dragovic, Maguire, Fuchs, Albrighton, James, Ndidi, Adrien Silva, Chilwell, Diabate, Vardy.

Subs: Simpson, Gray, Iheanacho, Jakupovic, Iborra, Mahrez, Benalouane.

EVENING

17:15: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League.

Sorry that I’m late to the party, but I see you’ve already made a start without me.

We’re at the Etihad Stadium this evening as Leicester, with Riyad Mahrez on the bench, hoping to cause an upset against runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Not much time for preamble, so let’s have those line-ups!

MANCHESTER CITY vs LEICESTER – PREVIEW

Manchester City defender John Stones is available again having missed the last two games due to illness and a minor knee problem. Midfielder Phil Foden (ankle) is also fit but playmaker David Silva (hip), winger Leroy Sane (ankle), striker Gabriel Jesus and left-backs Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph (all knee) are still out.

Riyad Mahrez will miss a third successive match for Leicester following the collapse of his move to Manchester City in January. The only change to the squad will see Shinji Okazaki drop out with a knee injury that could sideline him for up to two weeks.

Last season: Man City 2 Leicester 1, Leicester 4 Man City 2

Last five league matches: Man City W L W W D; Leicester W D W L D

Top scorers (all competitions): Sergio Aguero (Man City) 24; Jamie Vardy (Leicester) 13

Referee: Mike Jones
